For some reason I thought capturing the first sunrise of the year was a good idea. I aimed to do it last year but I got rained out, so this year I planned with a friend to capture sunrise on 2012.

We ummmed and ahhhed about where to go. I have been wanting to shoot Fingal Head's Giant's Causeway sunrise for ages. I thought if one sunrise shoot deserved a lot of effort to achieve, then this was it...and we put in a lot of effort. I awoke just before 2am on 1/1/2012 and met Chi at 2:30 am. We drove down to Fingal Head and arrived there around 4am. We shot for about an hour and fifteen minutes and then we went home.
