Sickly sweet sunset, Wilson's Outlook, Brisbane

Sickly sweet sunset, Wilson's Outlook, Brisbane

When I woke up this morning I had no plans to go photographing despite today being my first RDO where I haven't had to do Uni work in 5 months. I had yesterday off work sick and didn't feel too much better this morning when I woke up. The sky didn't look any good all day anyway until about 3:30pm when a few clouds started coming over. I was feeling quite good and knew that I really wanted to get out and shoot! I thought about locations but I didn't want to venture too far from home. I picked Wilson's Outlook. Despite going to this location on numerous occasions, I haven't actually shot a sunset here on my 5D in ages! When I arrived I knew the clouds weren't quite in the right spot, but it was 4:35pm and there was still 25 minutes until the clouds had to be in the right spot. I waited and they moved over perfectly. It was a sweet sunset, but I was feeling a little sick in the cold (hence the title) so as soon as the colour left the sky I hopped in the car, picked my wife up from work and we went home. It was probably my shortest landscape shoot yet!
