We visited Hokitika Gorge, near Greymouth on New Zealand's west coast on a rainy, dreary day. The conditions were not too bad to shoot this location, except that after a short hiatus in rainfall (as we walked the 15 minutes on the track to the gorge) it started raining again. The area we photographed from was unprotected (i.e. there was no foliage above) so our gear got a bit wet.
The water here is this ridiculous blue/green colour! It was great. I couldn't visit here and not shoot a film frame. In this particular shot I really like the colour of the moss off to the right hand side too.
I think this location would be awesome to visit in summer for a swim.
