During a 10 day photography trip to New Zealand with 3 mates, due to poor weather, we changed our plans from traveling north along the west coast from Greymouth to Wharariki, to head south toward Queenstown. This meant we would come through Wanaka and this very photogenic (and photographed) tree.
I have photographed this tree before, but we figured seeing as we were there, we would shoot it again. We set a deadline of 45 minutes and set out to take some shots.
It is very difficult to get something unique here, as if you think about it...it's been shot that way before. The reflection was OK, so I decided I'd shoot a vertical. I didn't shoot toward the west as most shots do as I would be shooting straight into the sun, so instead shot in the northerly direction.
