This image was captured during a 10 day photography trip with my mate Chi to Western Australia in 2025. We spent 6 nights at Karijini National Park and 3 at Margaret River. This image was taken of Handrail Pool in Weano Gorge. There are some epic landscapes at Karijini - but it is so remote, and a bit of hard work tracking/hiking to get to some of these locations. My original plans for this trip were not to take my large medium format panoramic film camera into the gorges as they are quite a trek, and my large camera also requires a larger tripod - which adds plenty of weight. However, we opted to visit Weano Gorge and Hancock Gorge twice, so that I could take in my film camera to get images like this one. I am so glad I did!
