We were treated to a fantastic sunrise on our last morning on our 10 day New Zealand photography trip. The colours in the sky were intense well before sunrise and I knew we were in for something good. Knowing that I had a fresh roll of film in, I had 4 shots to get something decent. Fortunately I timed this shot with the peak of the colour. I also have a timelapse of this neat little sunrise which I am yet to put together. I didn't even know a bird landed on that rock until I got the film back - I must have been counting the shutter speed on my watch too closely!
